Camp Overflow is located on Otis reservoir, in Otis Massachusetts.
Otis reservoir is a crystal clear 1200 acre lake that boasts the distinction
as the largest recreational lake in Massachusetts. Each year the state stocks
the reservoir with Rainbow and Brown trout as well as Brood Stock salmon.
Some of the salmon can be upwards of 30 inches in length! During the summer
months, many other species can be had including Smallmouth Bass, Tiger
Muskie, Pickerel, White and Yellow Perch, and numerous species of sunfish. Fishing isn't the only activity that can be done on the lake though,
Whether you're interested in the excitement of water skiing or cruising
around in a canoe, there are areas in the lake that are suitable for all. We
have our own private beach for your swimming enjoyment, and we also rent
paddleboats, canoes, rowboats and motor boats. The lake may be the main focus of our activities here, but there are
also numerous things to do around the campground. We maintain a nature
walking trail for your enjoyment, and there are horseshoe pits, volleyball,
basketball, a playground, and several organized activities including Arts
& Crafts and a movie night for kids every other weekend. Special activities on holiday
weekends. |
